It’s 2021, who uses coins anymore? Dump that coin holder insert in front of your shifter and replace it with this awesome docking station for your Android phone! Great spot to hold your phone to easily view your GPS maps, or check your notifications (when at a stop of course). This dock holds most type-c phones and with their cases. Granted you don’t have one of those ginormous Otterbox cases or big battery packs (these won’t fit, sorry).
And yes, for those wondering, it will clear your toggle/rifle switches for you Premium/GT350 folk :).
Type-C cable is included with the dock. It plugs right into the usb port just under the start button for that clean look. There is limited access to the cigarette lighter once installed. If you still need to get access to the cigarette lighter, we recommend using a cigarette lighter extension. Shorter cigarette lighter adapters can possibly still fit. Also note, access to some climate controls and toggle switches will be blocked when your phone is docked. But the phone is easily dockable and un-dockable, that shouldn’t be an issue! Slide it into the dock fully and the spring loaded clips hold onto your phone securely. Just yank up on your phone to un-dock. Super simple.
Item is very easy to install. Dock requires removing 2 screws under coin holder tray, plugging in dock, set dock in location, re-install screws and push in included screw caps into place. Voila! That’s it. You’re ready to go!
Note: Please make sure dock is set in place perfectly and lined up with the two mounting holes before tightening bolts down. Also, please note, recommended torque is ~5 lb-ft or less on the bolts. The parts are plastic and can easily break if you tighten them down too much. Parts are made with 100% ABS plastic, they will not deform in the hottest summers in the hottest of states.
